Tasnee reports 2015 net loss as TiO2 prices continue to slide
- The Saudi Arabian company, which owns a majority stake in TiO2 producer Cristal, has reported a loss for the last year and the last quarter, as lower selling prices have pushed up production costs.
- The National Industrialisation Co. (Tasnee), one of the world’s largest titanium dioxide (TiO2) producers, has reported a net loss of Saudi Arabian riyal (R) 690.2m ($184m*) for Q4 2015, down from a net profit of R 160.7m ($42.8m) the previous year, as selling prices for TiO2 and acrylic acid continued...

2. Produsenter vil gå konkurs eller stoppe produksjonen for å unngå konkurs, som på sikt vil føre til at etterspørselen blir større enn tilbudet og prisene vil stige.
